Booking settings and rules
Turn booking on, set breaks, minimum notice, how far ahead customers can book, closed dates, and understand which options are active.
Turn booking on
Switch on Enable Booking in Assistant > Assistant settings (Capabilities). The Booking Access card in Bookings > Settings shows Booking is enabled and links to Manage this in Assistant setup. When it is off, the booking page shows "Booking Unavailable" and the assistant does not share booking links.
Settings
Open Bookings > Settings (mobile: Home > Booking > Settings), then Save Settings.
| Setting | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Break between appointments | Auto-blocked time after each booking |
| Minimum notice required | Customers cannot book closer than this to now |
| Furthest date customers can book | How many days ahead; No limit allows any future date |
| Closed Dates | No bookings on these days for the whole company |
| Booking Page link | Your public link. Copy Link or Create Booking |
Per-staff settings can be stricter or different. See Staff and availability.
Options that do not change behavior yet
The settings page also shows Manual confirmation and Appointment reminders (with hours before). These values are saved, but in the current release:
- Every customer booking starts Pending and your team confirms it, whatever the setting.
- BaTimo does not send timed appointment reminders.
Plan your process around that. For reminders see notifications and follow-ups.
Share your booking page
The assistant shares it automatically in chat. You can also put it on your website, Instagram bio, in a DM flow (Open URL button) or in a WhatsApp message.
Tips
- Set a minimum notice that gives you time to confirm.
- Use Closed Dates for public holidays.
Troubleshooting
- "Booking page link is not available yet": finish enabling booking.
- Customers see no times: see the availability list in Staff and availability.
Limitations
- Company-wide settings apply to all staff unless a staff member overrides them.
