How your assistant sells and takes orders
What the assistant does with your catalog: finding products, answering questions, collecting order details, WooCommerce checkout links, and how to tune it.
When Enable Products is on, your assistant can sell from the catalog during any conversation.
What the assistant can do
| Step | What happens |
|---|---|
| Find products | Searches by keyword, lists all products, or lists one category. It does not invent products, prices or specifications. |
| Present | Shows name, price (with your currency symbol), description and category naturally. Sale prices are shown as sale prices. |
| Nothing matches | Says so honestly and suggests alternatives or categories. If your website knowledge is connected it can look for a matching page first. |
| Take an order | Before submitting, it collects the product, quantity, the customer's name, email or phone, and delivery address, then confirms all details with the customer. |
| Submit | Records the order immediately. It then gives the customer the order ID and the payment or next steps you described. |
| Manage | Can look up a submitted order and change items, quantities, total or customer details when the customer asks. |
| WooCommerce checkout | For WooCommerce stores it can read your checkout setup (payment methods, shipping methods, required fields) and send a ready-to-buy checkout link that adds the products to the cart. The link expires after 24 hours and can include coupon codes. |
| Capture the lead | Saves the customer's contact details as a lead. |
Tell the assistant what happens next
The assistant gives "payment or next steps". It only knows what you tell it, so write them in the assistant settings:
- Policies: "Payment by bank transfer within 24 hours of order. We send details by message."
- FAQs: delivery time, delivery areas, return rules.
- Forbidden Actions: "Do not promise delivery dates", "Do not offer discounts".

Tuning
| Setting | Effect on selling |
|---|---|
| Sales Style (Soft Sell, Balanced, Aggressive) | How actively it recommends and closes |
| Response Length | Short suits Instagram and WhatsApp |
| Tone | Friendly, formal and so on |
| Fallback Response | What to say when it does not know |
| Handoff triggers | When to bring in a person, for example custom orders or complaints |
Example conversation
Customer: Do you have a linen shirt in white?
Assistant: Yes! Our Linen shirt - white is 49.00 USD (sizes S to XL). Want me to add one?
Customer: Size M, deliver to Istanbul.
Assistant: Great. I need your name, a phone number and your full delivery address. Then I will confirm everything before ordering.
(customer provides details; assistant confirms and submits)
Assistant: Your order #A1B2 is placed. Payment is by bank transfer; I'll send the details now.
Tips
- Run assistant tests with ordering questions and edge cases after every catalog or policy change.
- Add a human-handoff trigger for anything outside the catalog.
Troubleshooting
- The assistant quotes a wrong price: the catalog price is what it uses. Remove old prices from FAQs and documents.
- It does not take orders: check Enable Products, then ask for an order explicitly in a test.
Limitations
- Orders are recorded, not paid. Payment, shipping cost and tax are handled by you or your checkout.
- Inventory is not tracked for manual products.
