Build your product catalog
Add products and categories with prices, sale prices, images and links, order them, and write descriptions the assistant can use well.
The catalog is what your assistant sells from. Accurate products with clear descriptions give better answers.
Open it
- Web: Sales > Products.
- Mobile: Home > Sales > Products.
Turn on selling first
Switch on Enable Products in Sales > Settings (web) or Home > Sales > Sales settings (mobile). Products are hidden from the assistant while it is off.
Add a product
Choose Add Product (web) or Add product (mobile).
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Product Name | Required. Use the name customers say. |
| Description | What it is, who it is for, key details. The assistant reads this. |
| Price | Required. Shown using your currency settings. |
| Sale Price | Optional; must be lower than Price. The product shows as On Sale. |
| Link | A valid URL, for example the product page, so the assistant can share it. |
| Category | Choose or create one. |
| Image | PNG, JPG or WEBP up to 5 MB. Upload on the web Console. |
| Active / Inactive | Inactive products are hidden from the assistant. |
Products can be reordered and searched.
Categories
Manage Categories (web) lets you Add Category, edit or delete categories with a name and description. Good categories help the assistant list "all gifts" or "everything under Skincare". The app does not manage categories.
Writing descriptions the assistant can use
- Put size, colour, material, ingredients and compatibility in the description.
- Variants (sizes, colours) are not separate fields. Either write them in the description ("Sizes S to XL; colours black, navy") or create one product per variant if prices differ.
- Mention what is included ("comes with charger") and what is not.
- Avoid claims you cannot support; add them as Forbidden Actions in the assistant instead.
Many products
There is no bulk product import in the Console. Options: connect WooCommerce, or ask your AI app to create products through AI Connections.
Tips
- Keep names unique and descriptive ("Linen shirt - white" beats "Shirt 2").
- Use Sale Price for promotions and remove it afterward; the assistant then sees the regular price again.
- Set a Link for every product so customers can see photos and details.
Troubleshooting
- The assistant does not mention a product: check Enable Products is on, the product is Active, and the wording in the customer's question matches your name or description.
- "Sale price must be less than the regular price": lower the sale price.
- Wrong currency symbol: fix it in Settings > Company.
Limitations
- No stock or variant fields. Price is a single value per product.
- Product images are uploaded on the web Console, not the mobile app.
