Playbook: generate and qualify leads

Capture interested customers from Instagram, WhatsApp and your website, ask qualifying questions, and get notified instantly.

Business goal

Turn every inquiry into a saved lead with the information your sales team needs, without staffing the inbox around the clock.

What you need

Configuration steps

  1. Choose the fields. In Assistant > Assistant settings > Lead Collection, switch on Collect Customer Information and select Name, Phone or Email, and Interested in. Add one custom qualifying field, for example "Budget" (Number) or "Ready to start this month?" (Yes / No).
  2. Describe the goal. Under Business Goals write "Collect the customer's name, phone and what they are interested in, then offer a consultation."
  3. Add a fast-path flow (optional). Create a flow from the Lead capture template with trigger Any keyword price, quote, interested. It asks what they are interested in, then collects contact details.
  4. Turn on alerts. In Notification Preferences enable New Lead for push and email.
  5. Test. Run an assistant test and send yourself a real message from your own account.

Customer journey

  1. A prospect comments on your reel or DMs "price?".
  2. The flow or assistant answers instantly and asks what they are interested in.
  3. They share a name and phone number, which is saved as a contact. When they ask for a quote or say they want to buy, they become a lead and you receive a New Lead notification.
  4. You open the lead, read the Conversation Summary, then take over the chat from the Inbox or call.

Tips

  • Ask for the contact detail after giving a first useful answer, not before.
  • Use Follow-up due and Assigned to me in Leads as a daily to-do list.
  • Send leads to your CRM with a New Lead webhook.
  • Follow up on WhatsApp with an AI agent. See AI-agent follow-ups.

Limitations

  • Customers choose what to share; collection is conversational.
  • Qualifying questions are guided by instructions, so test them.
