Connect your WordPress site
Install the BaTimo plugin, connect your site with a token, and let the assistant use your WordPress and WooCommerce content.
The WordPress integration links your site to BaTimo with a secure token so the assistant can read your site content, and so you can add website chat easily.
Connect
- Install and activate the BaTimo plugin from the WordPress plugin directory (Get the plugin on WordPress.org), or upload the
batimo-aifolder towp-content/plugins. - In BaTimo open Settings > WordPress and choose Generate Connect Token. Copy it.
- In WordPress open Settings > Batimo, paste the token and connect.
- To use WordPress as a knowledge source, open Assistant > Assistant settings > Capabilities and turn on Enable WordPress Integration. Without it the assistant cannot read or use any data from your site (content, products, pages).
- For WooCommerce products and orders, also turn on Enable WooCommerce Integration in Sales > Settings.
Manage
Connected Sites lists the sites linked to your account. Use Disconnect to stop all communication between BaTimo and a site. Regenerate Token creates a new connect token.
Add website chat through WordPress
After connecting, select your Web Chat channel in WordPress and enable webchat. See Website chat widget.
Troubleshooting
- The assistant ignores my site: you must turn on Enable WordPress Integration in the assistant settings.
- Token failed: generate a new token ("Failed to generate connect token") and retry.
Limitations
- Each site is connected with its own token. Disconnecting stops all communication with that site.
